» Wahid Attalla, CEO and founder of Spectrum Consultants, a prominent professional and business person with over 30 years of international working experience. Of a financial education and professional back ground, holding a BSC degree in Finance, he started his career with Al Futtaim in Dubai, moved on to Honeywell where he spent 14 years in their offices in various executive level positions in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Holland and Singapore. In 1991 moved to Istanbul as Honeywell General Manager and opened their office there. He then moved to Cairo and joined “Pioneer” area head office covering the company’s activities in Africa and Asia. In 1992, returned to Dubai to join Dubai World Trade Centre as Financial Director and soon thereafter promoted to General Manager. During his 10 years with Dubai World Trade Centre he played a significant and influential role in planning and directing the mega infrastructure and development of the new Dubai World Trade Centre as we see it today. Nakheel was his next port of call, where he joined in 2002 as Executive Director Commercial & Operations, in time to take over the responsibility of launching the iconic project “Palm Jumeirah” followed by “Palm Jebel Ali”. Attalla concluded three successful years with Nakheel taking the development projects from 2 at the time when he joined to 25 development projects. “I started Spectrum Consultants as I want to put the valuable experience I gained back into the market place and be able to work closely with developers to assist them realize the maximum potentials of their investments”.

» Sherif Mekhemer, Managing Director, a seasoned Hotelier by education and profession. Holder of BSC degree in Hotel Management, he started his professional career in 1976 with Marriott in Amsterdam and then joined Hilton International where he spent 23 years in various posts and positions, latest as general manager. He then joined the Dubai World Trade Centre as Corporate Manager Hospitality, moving thereafter to Millennium & Copthorn, opening and managing their property in Sharjah. Adding a new dimension to his career portfolio, he joined Nakheel as Senior Manager, Hospitality looking after Hotel investments and developers in the various development projects of Nakheel. “I have partnered up and joined forces with Wahid appreciating the great demand in the market for professional advice in the field of property development in general and in the hotel industry in particular. » Hicham Yassin, Director Projects Development, involved in construction business for the last 22 years of his professional career, holding a BSC in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University. In 1974, he started his career as a site engineer for the renowned Egyptian contracting and construction company, Hassan Allam. He moved to Dubai in 1976, where he joined Bin Ladin Organization as a Project Engineer, later sent to Italy to complete the bridge construction project in 1977. Mr. Hicham’s major involvement with massive projects such as military airport, multi storey building and luxurious villas landed him an offer to join Saudi Bin Ladin group in 1985, where he was based in Riyadh, KSA as Project Manager for construction of Military Employees City. After spending 7 years in the successful Culture and Heritage Village of KSA in Riyadh, he moved back to Alexandria, Egypt where he formed a private construction company for dealing with high rise buildings. “I joined spectrum to catch up with the fast lane of Dubai construction and expansion, and with my past experience contribute and enjoy the latest technology of project management.”

» Ziya Birkan, Director Finance, over 20 years of experience in hotel industry, is well versed with setting-up hotels to run in a financially secure environment, from feasibility studies down to operating procedures. He has worked in different international chains in Turkey, Seychelles, Gabon, Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Morocco, Egypt and finally United Arab Emirates, such as Ramada International Hotels & Resorts, Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts and Millennium & Copthorne Hotels. Mr. Birkan has occupied positions as Regional Director of Finance, Corporate Operations Controller, Executive Director. “My vast international experience and professional Know How will give a great support to Spectrum Consultants and potential related business developers in the Region.”

» Marc-Henri Veyrassat, 44, holds a Master of Science in Management from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. His career was built over 20 years in Africa, Asia, Middle-East and Europe. Marc-Henri was the country manager of SGS in Zambia from 1991 to 1995. He then founded TATIS SA in 1999 which became a recognized leading consulting and solution provider in risk management for Customs and Tax Authorities, and was chosen by HP, SAP and SGS as a global strategic business partner. The company was then acquired by a South African conglomerate. Marc-Henri’s core competencies are in corporate finance, deal structuring and private equity, applied in particular to the Real Estate and Hospitality sectors. Marc-Henri joined the real estate master developer Rakeen Development PJSC as their development director in 2007 and then was promoted to the position of COO. Rakeen is active in several emerging markets, such as India, Georgia, Iran and the DRC. Marc-Henri brings his global experience and international background to Spectrum clients.
